At the Hostafrancs Medical Center we have an Endocrinology and Nutrition and Dietetics Service.

Dedicated to the study of hormonal disorders, metabolism and nutrition, treating all their alterations.

The Endocrinology Service of the Hostafrancs Medical Center treats any type of hormonal, metabolic or nutritional alteration such as obesity, diabetes, hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism, cholesterol and any other alteration due to the endocrine glands.

The most common endocrine diseases are:

• Addison's disease.
• Diseases of the pituitary gland.
• Diseases of the parathyroid.
• Thyroid diseases.
• Diseases of the adrenal glands.
• Diseases of the pancreas.

The Nutrition and Dietetics Service of the Hostafrancs Medical Center aims to analyze and provide dietary advice, designing individualized diets to lose weight, gain it or optimize body composition . We are also specialists in sports nutrition: offering the most appropriate dietary guidelines to achieve the best sports performance.

Nutritional and endocrine advice for athletes

The Hostafrancs Medical Center offers a nutritional and sports advice service, as well as hormonal monitoring, for athletes. This service is especially aimed at all those who practice sports in which muscular development is specifically pursued, such as bodybuilding and fitness. Dr. Àlex Costa, the center's endocrinologist and nutritionist, is the specialist in charge of this new program, which was created with the aim of helping athletes achieve their sporting goals under medical supervision and with the appropriate dietary and supplementation guidelines. This service has a cost of 50 euros per visit.
