- Abdominal ultrasound
- Musculoskeletal ultrasound
- Ultrasound of Thyroid
- Urological ultrasound
The echography or ultrasound is a type of image that is obtained with this technique. Ultrasound is a technique for explaining the internal organs of the body that uses high-frequency sound waves to observe the organs and structures inside the body. It can study: the heart, blood vessels, kidneys, liver and other organs. Ultrasound does not expose you to radiation, and during pregnancy, doctors use ultrasound tests to look at the fetus.
Each specialist will be in charge of requesting the necessary exploratory test and referring the patient to the Ultrasound Service.
The ultrasound scanners at the Hostafrancs Medical Center are also used by specialists in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Angiology, among others.
