Cardiology

The Cardiology Service of the Hostafrancs Medical Center deals with the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of all heart diseases or pathologies of the heart.

It also aims to influence the prevention of these diseases and cardiological control in healthy people and with risk factors for hypertension, cholesterol or sugar.

Some pathologies treated by the cardiologist: dyslipidemia, pulmonary embolism, atrial fibrillation, high blood pressure, acute myocardial infarction, heart failure, syncope and valvular heart disease.

Diagnostic tests

Electrocardiogram (ECG/EKG)

It is a simple test where the electrical activity of the heart is observed, that is, the activity that occurs in each heartbeat. The patient's electrical activity is recorded from the patient's body surface and is typically displayed on paper by graphing or tracing. Observing the result, you can see different waves that represent the electrical stimuli of the ventricles or the atria.
